nhra watch

Where would civilization be if people don’t come on time? Watches are very useful timepieces that help people make and keep appointments.  Businesses will not profit if employees come to work late everyday. Relationships may fall apart if one partner always fails to keep promises to be there.

Watches and other timepieces are some of the most important manmade inventions. Although sundials served ancient civilizations well, they are less likely to work in the fast-paced lives we have now. Thanks to man’s creativity, watches can be found almost anywhere and there are a myriad of designs like a NFL or NHRA watch.

Jeep clock

Decorating doesn’t have to be just for interior decorators. With a basic sense of color, pattern, and theme, a little bit of determination, and a spare weekend or two, you can turn your kid’s room into the decorating envy of all your friends. When someone says kids’ bedroom decor, it conjures many different images. Whether it makes you think of sports-themed rooms or pillows adorned with pop culture icons, there are many unexpected bedroom themes that are sure to make a great impression.

-Racecar themes: Virtually every little boy, and many little girls, love racecars. It is easy to find sheets, wallpaper and other decorations to highlight this time-tested interest—I was even able to find a Jeep clock when I was outfitting my son’s room/

-Animal themes: Whether you choose your animal theme based on a favorite pet or an animal that caught your kid’s attention at the zoo, make sure to heed the advice of “color themes.” That is, don’t overdo it. It can quickly turn from charming and quirky to tacky. With this theme, make sure to choose a few dramatic pieces like an animal-themed alarm clock or a play table.

-Space themes: What kid can resist the allure and mystery of space? Choose glow in the dark stars for their ceiling, and they are sure to be delighted every time you turn the lights out for bedtime.

Ford clock

I loved going over to my papa’s house when I was little. The house had so many special little knick knacks that kept the kids entertained for hours. Papa would always make sure there were candies and cookies available for us kids, and chocolate milk to drink. Needless to say-it was a kid’s heaven.

Papa also collected clocks. My favorite clock in the collection was this collector’s edition Ford clock. As a kid, I just thought there was nothing better than that clock. Now when I think back on my affinity for that clock I chuckle and I think about just how much I miss my papa.

Custom Clocks for Your Car

What’s the one accessory every car has that nobody can keep their eyes off of? Give up? It’s the clock. The basic functionality of a clock is nothing more exciting than two tiny hands rotating around a bunch of numbers, how amusing. If your eyes are going to stray over to your clock multiple times a day, don’t you want to treat them to a little excitement? Installing a clock that not only tells you the time, but revs up your adrenaline every time you see it sounds like more of an exhilarating purchase.

When you swap out your old ticker for a custom designed clock, you’ll be more than satisfied with its new flashy appearance and all the compliments you’ll collect from your friends. Jazz up your dashboard with a clock that’s trimmed with neon lights, you’ll never strain your eyes to see it in the dark again. Why not match your car by installing a clock with its logo boldly stamped across its face? Whichever design you to choose to add more life to your clock, it will be a timeless piece of enjoyment.

Honda: Safe, Reliable

The Japanese Honda Motor Company is the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and internal combustion engines, as well as the world’s second-largest Japanese automobile manufacturer. Its automobiles are known to be safe and easy to drive, making them ideal first cars for new drivers. Personally, many of my friends drove a Civic, Accord or CR-V in their first few years as licensed drivers, and my brother still drives a black Accord. Honda is also behind a dedicated luxury brand, Acura, which debuted in North American in 1986.

Many Honda owners are very fond of their cars, as they are safe and reliable. Forbes named five Honda vehicles in their list of the safest cars of 2009, including the Accort sedan and the Pilot. Honda has recently branded itself as safety-oriented, joining Volvo and Subaru with that comforting reputation. In this economy, that’s a smart move, as analysts say that car buyers are looking for safety over low cost. If you or someone you know is especially proud of their Honda, pick up a Honda clock as a birthday or housewarming gift. This automobile brand is certainly here to stay.

Chrysler Files for Bankruptcy

For several decades, Americans have enjoyed cars made by renowned automobile manufacturer Chrysler.  Chrysler was an industry pioneer, and many of its spinoff brands hold a special place in the history of automobiles.  In the 1980s, Chrysler came upon tough times, but recovered with the invention of the minivan.  The Dodge minivan was arguably the first, and captivated Americans for decades.  However, rising gas prices caused the minivan to fall out of popularity in the 2000’s, in addition, Chrysler failed to create a lot of other cars that Americans wanted to buy.  Chrysler lost sales to foreign auto manufacturers for years, and in 2009, they will file for bankruptcy.  While most predict Chrysler will emerge from their bankruptcy stronger than they were before, it’s still a question as to whether Chrysler can create a new line of cars that people want to buy.

No matter what happens in the future, Chrysler will have a special spot in American history.  Chrysler collectibles like the Chrysler watch might soon become true collector’s items as the company that made the collectibles famous could disappear.

General Motors Filing for Bankruptcy?

With General Motors shares almost to the level of being considered penny stocks, it’s possible the situation has never been quite so dire for the industry titan.  GM has been providing Americans with reliable automobiles for almost a century, and without GM, the auto industry around the world wouldn’t have been the same.  The company is now poised to file for bankruptcy, though there is some hope that it will be able to convince the government of its viability and secure a new loan.  However, based on GM’s performance in the past few months, it doesn’t seem likely they will be able have all their ducks in a row before filing for bankruptcy.

The real question is, what will happen to GM after bankruptcy is declared?  Several companies have emerged from bankruptcy in the past, and while GM doubts that customers will want to purchase from an automaker who has declared bankruptcy, in the last year they’ve made some efforts to get back on track.  With electric cars and hybrid/electric cars on the horizon, and the recent success of vehicles like the Chevy Malibu, GM just might be around for the next century too.  But purchase your GMC watch, clocks, posters, models, and paraphernalia now, because these soon might become collector’s items!

Favorite Birthday Gift

Let’s face it, people who have been alive for more than thirty years have received a lot of birthday gifts, and sometimes it’s tough to even remember what you got last year!  I too, can’t remember what I got last year, but I do remember what I got for my 22nd birthday from my grandpa.  Now when you’re 22, you’re probably not expecting to receive a wall clock as a birthday gift.  But I was delighted when my grandpa gifted me with one of his favorite automobile clocks.  Grandpa collected those clocks over the course of several decades, and though I liked to think he would be around forever, I knew he would one day pass.  When he gave me that automobile clock, I knew it would be something that I could remember him by forever.

I hung my grandpa’s Chevrolet clock in my room and now it helps me keep track of time and reminds me of all the wonderful memories I shared with him.  I’ll probably pass it on to my kids one day.

American Muscle: Ford Mustang

Though it wasn’t the first muscle car, the Ford Mustang is quite possibly the most recognized muscle car in America’s past.  While the newer Ford Mustangs offer a much smoother ride and more luxurious features, nothing beats the roar and the power of the classic 1950s Mustangs.  These classic automobiles revolutionized the industry with their unique headlights, shape, and powerful engine.  The older Mustang models are some of the most prized possessions at classic car shows.

Mustangs, for all their grace and power, have become so well recognized in America that the car has generated an entire line of paraphernalia.  Whether purchasing a Mustang clock for your garage, a Mustang lamp for your den, or a Mustang watch to wear most everywhere, owners of these amazing automobiles are proud to display their enthusiasm, and with good reason!

Neon-Chevrolet-clocks

General Motors, makers of the Chevrolet brand famous for cars like the Malibu, Nova, and Impala, is in real danger of becoming extinct.  Though the Chevrolet brand has yielded some excellent cars in the past, gas guzzling SUVs and unattractive mid-size vehicles have crippled the Chevrolet brand in recent years.  Now without a government bailout it seems as if GM and Chevrolet might go under and disappear from the market forever.  Now is a great time to pick up all kinds of classic Chevrolet memorabilia, because who knows if it’s going to be around in the future.

Items like Chevrolet clocks, key chains, logo jackets, and watches might become quite valuable and sought after.  With the future of the brand uncertain, there’s a great potential for collectors or enthusiasts to purchase these collectable items while they’re still available!
